G-Soundz started Club DJ’ing in early 2003 and within his first 4 live appearances he had already gained Plaudits from various DJ’s on ALL FM – 96.9FM and BBC Radio 1 – 98.9FM, namely Tim Westwood. As a result, he was invited to join the Urban Lick family on the Urban Lick show at ALL FM.

After realising that he had a natural talent, he began sending mix tapes out to local promoters and getting notice for his phat mixes and his unique style of mixing, scratching up the finest in R’n’B and Hip Hop which presented him with many gig opportunities.

When playing live, G Soundz knows how to pull in the crowd and hypnotise them, providing them with the music they want to hear at the right time of the night.

“It all depends on the mood.” He explains.

“The first real buzz was when the same people started to turn up to the different nights I was doing.” Smirks G Soundz,

“That was when I knew that this was the path I wanted to pursue coz there’s no better feeling than knowing that you’ve got the crowd so locked in that they’re buzzing of the tunes as much as you are yourself.”

Within 2 months he had gained the respect of Radio 1 Xtra’s G-Child and was invited to play alongside him at Club Hidden in Birmingham City Centre. The night was banging, the sweat was dripping and the booty’s were shaking all night long.

And that was where it all started…
