Biography

This 24yr olds natural talent as a DJ was evident from his teenage years, where he was much in demand at House Parties etc. His emerging talent and reputation was soon noticed by the proprioritor of Unity 108FM which he considers his 'Big Break' into the business. This was after hearing his Guest Slot on Kerfew 99.9FM. His show on Unity which was aired on a Thursday night, back in 1995, 8pm - 10pm soon proved to be popular which hosted music such as R&B, Hip Hop, Ragga and Jungle. In 1998 DJ Solid C moved to Ram Air which is based in Bradford to host another show. This took him through to his current well known position on LOVE 100FM based in Huddersfield. His established show, Real Flava, is every Saturday 1pm - 3pm, which consists of R&B and Hip Hop.

Along with being an experienced DJ on the urban scene he also is greatly involved in the promotion of a variety of events. His experience doesn't stop here though. He is also involved also in projects such as Carnivals, Clubs, parties, residencies along with his radio show.

His ability and flair with Urban music such as R&B, Hip Hop and UK Garage sounds has led him to perform at such events alongside Trevor Nelson (Radio 1 / MTV Lick), Tim Westwood (Radio 1), Chris Goldfinger (Radio 1), The Dreem Team (Radio 1), Steve Sutherland (Galaxy FM) and Artful Dodger plus many others.

Carnivals he has performed at being, Huddersfield, Leeds, Sheffield, Preston, Manchester and Liverpool. Some of the promotion companies he has been currently involved with working alongside are Roadblock, Brown Suga, Untouchables and SST amongst many others.

In 1999 to 2001 he was part of the Street Team (Warner's Urban Force) for the Warner's and East West record labels. This included promoting artists such as Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliot, Ill Mo, Eric Bennét, Keith Sweat, Glamour Kid, Shola Ama and Nicole Renee. His main Duties were product awareness which involved organizing and promoting album launch parties, interviews and poster campaigns.

He participated in the Channel 4, 2000 Flava Tour. This involved partaking in the DJ Competition which resulted in successfully completing all three stages, Bradford, Manchester and Hull heats.
