Biography

Steve's background in music is taken from many different and varied sources, as a youngster he listened to a wide variety of music from hip hop, soul and r n b, to rock, indie dance and pop music. He states that he has many musical influences from R-Kelly, Duran Duran, Elton john to coldplay and Dave Clarke which is reflected in his wide musical ability. His love for djing was born when he used to religiously attend Cream and bugged out events at Nation and hang around the dj booths watching the skills of such djs as Laurent garnier, Paul van Dyk, dave Clarke and sasha.

Steve started djing out only 18 months ago but in such a short time he has achieved so much. He started playing guest sets in the back room at Liverpool’s ever popular super-club Garlands, after experiencing playing fantastic crowds Steve decided to launch his own underground club night and called Jackin house. Steve’s club night began on a Thursday night but due to demand was soon moved to a Saturday night slot at the legendary lemon lounge, Liverpool’s breeding ground for major nights such as Aztec, Chibuku shake shake and cookie dough amongst many others.

Steve still stayed working hard playing sets across the uk for any club he could, this work ethic landed him a chance to play in Ibiza in 2003 for a London club called pukka up who had teamed up with clockwork orange.

Since this trip to Ibiza Steve has teamed up with Manchester’s top promotion companies assisting them in djing, promoting and running some top club events covering many musical genres.

Steve describes his dj style as a general base of house music with many surprises to add spice to every set he plays. He describes his dj inspirations as Kevin saunderson, Rolando, erik morrillo and sacha.
